StoryCorps Tampa Bay: A St. Pete Pioneer and Her Politician Son

In our debut installment, Frank Peterman Jr. talks with his son, Taffery, about Frank’s mother, Peggy Peterman. Peggy was a groundbreaking journalist at The St. Petersburg Times, writing about race and civil rights. She also made some fascinating friends during her career. Peterman tells his son how Peggy’s influence helped him eventually become a state representative – one who championed causes similar to his mother’s.
