More than a million people could soon be added to Florida's voting rolls.

In November, voters approved a constitutional amendment which automatically restored voting rights to felons, with the exception of those convicted of sex offenses and murder.

With a week left until the midterm elections, some advocacy groups are working to gain support for Hillsborough County tax referendums. Representatives from All for Transportation and Strengthen our Schools were in Tampa Monday, trying to encourage Hillsborough County residents to vote for local initiatives.

Hillsborough County is adding another location to its list of 20 Early Voting Sites for November's General Election -- and it's one that might make many Bulls happy. 

After numerous complaints last week, Florida’s election agency says the glitches on its online voter registration website are fixed. But, if anyone sees any other issues going forward, they’re urged to report them immediately.

Supervisors of elections throughout Florida are preparing for the upcoming election season, with the secruity of the voting process being a top priority.

Nobody sat in the back row.

Students filled the front rows at the center of the auditorium at Tampa’s King High School during an optional voter registration campaign put on Wednesday by the Hillsborough County Elections Office. They were chattering when they walked in, but the room silenced when county officials started speaking.

They were ready to build on a political movement started by students in South Florida after a deadly school shooting there two weeks ago.
