Millions of people who take aspirin to prevent a heart attack may need to rethink the pill-popping, Harvard researchers reported Monday.

Every semester, the University of South Florida picks an outstanding graduate on each of the system’s three campuses.

This fall, the honoree on the Tampa campus has a curriculum vitae that would make some professors jealous.

Stephanie Radu, 21, was born in Toronto and lived in twelve cities, training as a competitive swimmer and surfer, before settling in Florida.

While death rates from heart disease declined in Florida during the last five years, Volusia County saw a 9 percent increase in deaths.

A former aide says Rhea Chiles, the widow of former Florida Gov. Lawton Chiles, has died.

The American Heart Association's Tampa Bay Red Sofa Tour stopped by the University of South Florida to encourage people to take a seat and talk about heart disease.

The campaign is an effort to bring awareness to cardiovascular diseases and stroke. Ashley Furniture Home Store is a sponsor of the campaign and they donated a custom-made red sofa, which will tour around the Tampa Bay area until Oct. 3.
