The percentage of children living in high-poverty neighborhoods in Florida has decreased 8 percent since the Great Recession, according to a new study from the Annie E. Casey Foundation.

Following the success of theĀ  1963 March on Washington, Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. and other civil rights activists set their sights on organizing another large protest in the nation's capital, this one for the rights of the poor.

According to a new report, children's health in Florida has improved overall, but is still lagging behind when compared to other states.
