Adam Putnam To Head Ducks Unlimited

Former Florida Agriculture Commissioner Adam H. Putnam has been named CEO of the conservation group Ducks Unlimited.

Putnam replaces Dale Hall, who will remain until his retirement June 30.

Putnam said in a news release from the organization that he joined it when he was 16 years old and looks forward to building on its success.

Ducks Unlimited said Putnam advocated for Florida's water resources as commissioner and expanded its best management water practices program.

Putnam served two terms as agriculture commissioner. He lost in the Republican primary for Florida governor last year. He also served five terms in the U.S. House.

Ducks Unlimited was established in 1937 and works to conserve waterfowl habitats in North America.
