Hannah Yechivi is a WUSF/USF Zimmerman School digital news intern for fall 2018.

Born in San Jose, Costa Rica, Hannah is currently a senior working towards a bachelor's degree in mass communication with a concentration on broadcast news at USF. She is also minoring in business administration. Hannah is proficient in 3 different languages: Spanish, English and French.

Hannah is currently the anchor at USF’s “News in 90” and has had previous internships with Spectrum News, USF Athletics, and Tampa Bay United Nations Association.

Tampa General Hospital

Tampa General Hospital performed its first kidney transplant in 1974 and by 1985 had completed Florida’s first successful heart transplant. In October of this year, they hit the ten-thousand transplant mark.

Nearly two dozen Tampa Bay area museums are participating in the 14th annual free Museum Day Saturday (Sept. 22.) Smithsonian Magazine sponsors the one-day event which provides free entry to anyone with a ticket from the Museum Day site. September is Suicide Awareness Prevention Month. To mark the occasion, both the James A. Haley Veterans’ Hospital and the Bay Pines VA Healthcare System are hosting suicide prevention awareness fairs Friday.

There will also be a separate event benefiting the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay that evening.
