The Red Cross shelter located at West Florida High School housed approximately 500 Pensacola residents who were seeking shelter from Hurricane Ivan in 2015.

Many Tampa Bay-area public school districts are not resuming classes until next week, as they assess damage from Hurricane Irma.

Some districts say they have campuses that are still without power. Other schools that served as emergency shelters during the storm are still in the process of closing down their operations.

Here’s a list of when districts will be reopening:

Hillsborough County – Monday, Sept. 18

Pinellas County – Monday, Sept. 18

Pasco County - Tentatively plan to resume classes on Monday, Sept. 18, according to the district website

Sarasota County – Monday, Sept. 18

Manatee County – Monday, Sept. 18

Polk County – Tentatively plan to resume classes on Monday, Sept. 18. The district will update its decision on Thursday.

Hernando County – Monday, Sept. 18

Citrus County - at least through Tuesday. The district website recommends you check with the schools for specific information.
