Police say a man who was pressure washing a dock near the Tampa Convention Center fell into the water and later died at a hospital.

A police news release says divers recovered 53-year-old Johnnie Norton shortly after he fell and didn't resurface on Monday morning. The C&W Services worker was taken to Tampa General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police didn't immediately release details about what caused Norton to fall off the dock.
