The teenage daughter of an Illinois pilot who was killed when his small plane crashed in the Tampa Bay area has also died from her injuries.

The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office says 15-year-old Katherine Bronken died Wednesday afternoon.

Her father, 53-year-old Jeffrey Bronken died early Saturday when their plane crashed near St. Petersburg-Clearwater International Airport. Officials Katherine Bronken's 15-year-old friend Keyana Linbo remains hospitalized.

The trio from Round Lake, Ill., left Chicago on Friday evening in a single-engine Piper PA-28. It nose-dived onto the median of a road after Jeffrey Bronken reported fuel-related issues to air traffic controllers around 4 a.m. on Saturday.
