State Rep. Dennis Baxley Talks Stand Your Ground

In the wake of the George Zimmerman not-guilty verdict in the fatal shooting of unarmed teenager Trayvon Martin, Florida's Stand Your Ground law is back in the spotlight. Some opponents of the law want it repealed.

Matthew Peddie of Orlando's NPR station, WMFE, spoke to Florida State House Rep. Dennis Baxley, the Republican from Ocala who sponsored the 2005 self-defense bill that would become the Stand Your Ground law, about what is ahead for the controversial statute and how it applies to the Zimmerman case.
