Tampa City Council Coming to USF

usfsg event_0.jpg

Several Tampa City Council members are coming to USF  to answer students' questions tonight at a forum, sponsored by the student government of USF.

They will be discussing the city's economic future and how to keep USF graduates in Tampa. They will also explain how students can get more involved in local government.

Event coordinator Abdool Aziz says the event is a good opportunity for students.

"I think the students will enjoy the conversation and engaging with city council," said Aziz. "And having their answers directly from the people that have authority over their problems, and also working and having a refreshing conversation with the local government."

The event starts at 5:30 p.m. in the Marshal Center on USF's Tampa campus. Council members Lisa Montelione, Mike Suarez, and possibly Harry Cohen are expected to attend.
