Friday Morning Musicale's Celebration & Fundraising Concert

One of Tampa’s most historic cultural venues and music clubs, Friday Morning Musicale (FMM), hosts its annual Celebration Concert on Saturday, Jan. 15, 2022, at 3 p.m. The event sets the stage to celebrate and showcase the recent donation of two Steinway & Sons Concert Grand Pianos by Cole Clayton of Winter Park, Fla., and kick off FMM’s annual fundraising campaign. The 2022 campaign includes FMM’s annual scholarship program for aspiring musicians to attend college and a much-need capital improvement program to replace the roof and other needed repairs to the 120+ year old building. This year’s event will also honor and recognize Cole Clayton, donor of the two Steinway & Sons Concert Grand Pianos, valued at $260,000. Measuring seven- and nine-feet respectively, the pianos were permanently installed at FMM on December 30, 2021, and be used by aspiring young pianists and their teachers for training as well as recitals. They will also assist FMM in attracting other professional pianists to perform and host concerts and other events in the historic 385-seat theater. Featuring FMM’s Tampa’s top junior pianists, including Michael Yao, Junior Friday Morning Musicale (JFMM) 2021 Scholarship winner, now a student at The University of Chicago, and acclaimed professional pianist Ruben Celeberti, and recognition of donor Cole Clayton. COST: Free. Donations welcomed at the door. RESERVATIONS: First-come, first-served. MORE INFORMATION: Visit www.fridaymorningmusicale.com or call 813.251.1990
