Chamber executive vice president David Hart made the prediction after urging Tallahassee business leaders to block Corcoran’s plan to eliminate Enterprise Florida, the state’s premiere business recruitment arm.

“I tend to think that the notion that Speaker Corcoran wants to run for governor is accurate. I think he, while not officially announced, I’m of the view that he’s running.”

During a legislative briefing for the Greater Tallahassee Area Chamber of Commerce, Hart also raised the possibility that a dramatic increase in workers’ compensation rates will force a special session.
