NPR One is now available on Windows

We're excited to announce the launch of NPR One for Windows phone and tablet. This launch marks the first time NPR has developed an app for listeners with Windows devices, and we're excited to bring the great new listening experience of NPR One to these listeners.

In the NPR One experience on Windows phone and tablet, the listening experience provides the latest local, national and international news in a curated stream customized for you. Search for shows and podcasts, review your listening history or look ahead at upcoming stories. On tablet devices, the app can be arranged on the window with snap views so that you can listen to NPR One while you multitask with other apps. And while you're listening, tap on the View Story button to read any story on the web.

In addition to our excitement in launching on a new handset platform for the first time in over 5 years, we're looking forward to bringing the NPR One experience across more devices and platforms. In doing so, we will be introducing a new where app and device developers can access our API and design documentation. We hope that this will allow us to more quickly deliver on our promise that NPR One will someday be "anywhere and everywhere."

The app is available for download on Windows devices running on Windows RT or Windows 8.1. Download it today.
