Bolton Faces Scrutiny at Confirmation Hearings

The Senate Foreign Relations Committee met on Monday to debate President Bush's nomination of John Bolton as the next U.S. ambassador to the United Nations. Bolton has drawn attention and international criticism for his outspoken views on the effectiveness and impact of the U.N. NPR's Madeleine Brand talks with NPR's Ron Elving about the hearings.
