The swirl of controversy after the decision by Orange County State Attorney Aramis Ayala not to apply the death penalty in cases assigned to her has filtered down to a discussion of cases on Florida's death row.

Orange County State Attorney Aramis Ayala believes Florida Governor Rick Scott overstepped his authority in pulling her from the Markeith Loyd murder trial.  But Scott defends his decision to replace Ayala with fifth district state attorney Brad King.
