Judge Stops Attempt To Delay Pot Law

Leon County Circuit Judge Karen Gievers has rejected a move to halt the state from issuing medical marijuana treatment licenses to Florida's current pot vendors.

Information about investors and partners in medical-marijuana businesses is not a trade secret and should be disclosed under Florida's public-records law, an appeals court ruled Friday.

As Florida lawmakers contemplate revisiting the medical marijuana issue in a special legislative session and revive a failed effort to establish regulatory guidelines for the voter-approved industry, a system for accessing the treatment already is taking shape.
