Summer break is ending and things are getting busy at Bay area college campuses once again.

3,500 new students - a mix of freshmen, transfer and international students - moved into residence halls on the University of South Florida's Tampa campus Thursday.

James Oliver Seevakumaran, a graduate of Seminole High School in Pinellas County, was found dead in his dorm room at the 51,000-student Orlando campus of the University of Central Florida. No one else was hurt.

USF Holds General Election Straw Poll

Oct 15, 2012

Many polls have gauged Floridians' opinions on the upcoming general election, but there's only one poll that gives insight into the youth vote.

MacManus says one of the purposes of this straw poll is "to project the idea that the USF campus is not disinterested in politics in any stretch of the word."
