Watch: Tampa Police Spoof 'Call Me Maybe'
It's been spoofed by the U.S. Olympic swim team, a pack of shirtless Abercrombie and Fitch models and even Cookie Monster.
Now Carly Rae Jepsen's summertime earworm Call Me Maybe has been parodied by another unlikely group: the Tampa Police Department.
In a video that's been viewed more than 47,000 times since it was uploaded to Tampa's PD's media relations YouTube channel about a week ago, the cops urge citizens to connect with them on social media and report anything suspicious.
"Police can't be everywhere all the time," police spokeswoman Laura McElroy told the Tampa Bay Times. "But citizens are in their neighborhoods everyday, so they will notice something suspicious that doesn't fit."
And now, without further ado, here's the video. Look for Police Chief Jane Castor to make a cameo at the 2:36 mark.
